Larry Floyd came to
Lakeshore Drive in June of 2003 as the church’s Youth Minister and later
became the Minister of Education/Admin in October of 2007. Larry has lived in Texas since 1974, except for a
few years in Alaska and Indiana while serving in the US Army. After
sensing a call to ministry later in life, Larry received his diploma and
graduate diploma in theology from Southwestern Seminary in Ft Worth in May
of 2001. Larry worked with youth for 13 years, with a conviction to teach
leadership ministry to students. He has done mission work in Texas, New
Mexico, and Mexico, as well as preached revivals, led Disciple Now weekends, and
has taught ministry classes for students who sense a call to vocational
ministry. Larry has been married to his wife Lucy since 1983, and
they have 3 children ages 26, 8, and 5. Larry and Lucy are the proud
grandparents of Truman Floyd, born in Aug 2008. Larry enjoys Texas Longhorn
football, the San Antonio Spurs, and of course the Dallas Cowboys.
Favorite Bible Verse: 1 John 1:7, which says, “But if we walk in the light,
as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of
Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.”
