Children’s Minister Linda Fredrikson
has served at Lakeshore Drive Baptist Church since October 2002. Linda
loves children and has had a private counseling practice working with them
since 1991. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, she graduated from the
University of Texas in 1977 with a degree in Business Administration and
from Texas Christian University where she received a master’s degree in
education emphasizing counseling and guidance. In 1986 she became a
Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas while employed with
the Austin State School. For eight years she worked with a management
consultant company dealing with people problems. For twelve years she
coordinated a rape crisis program and was concurrently a case manager for
the Women’s Center and the First Choice Program in Fort Worth. Since 1980
Linda has been married to Charles, a high school teacher. They have three
children, one daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. One of her favorite
scriptures is Psalm 127:3, Behold, children are a
gift of the Lord.
