ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
In the fall of 2023, Pastor Kris preached a series of sermons laying out our clarified Mission, Vision, and Strategy. Our Adult Life Groups also studied a series of lessons built off of the messages to allow our church family the opportunity to process and own these guiding statements. We enourage you to visit our Sermon Page, listen to the Life on Mission sermon series, and then join us as we live out our lives together on purpose.

OUR HISTORY
(1989–1990) Lakeshore Beginning
Major Developments
• Five families held an organizational meeting in the home of Clay and Julia Price to establish a new church in East Parker County.
• This group connected with First Baptist Church, Weatherford, and the Parker Baptist Association, who had land for a church plant.
• The core group, with help from FBC Weatherford, held a tent revival on our current location.
• A modular building was purchased to allow the church to hold services at 200 S. Lakeshore Drive.
• Terry Cosby became the first full-time Pastor in April 1990.
(1991–1995) Lakeshore Established

• April 28, 1991; the church moved from mission status to church status becoming Lakeshore Drive Baptist Church with 142 charter members, some of whom are still attending.
• The church broke ground on their first permanent building on September 1, 1991.
• Many programs were added.
